Days of Prayer and Fasting Campaign.
The
Intercessors Network of Pakistan has arranged a 40 Day Prayer and Fasting
Campaign, from 1st August to 9th September 2010, the cry of the Capital:
Islamabad and is twin city Rawalpindi will be “Heal the Land”. Hundreds of
believers from 70 plus churches will be participating in this 40 day Prayer
Campaign, providing sacred assemblies every day to pray for the healing of the
land. 11 churches from others cities will also be participating in this
campaign. The Campaign will also cover the “Nation Day of Prayer which
will be celebrated on 14th August”
Prayer
Focus:
·
Pray for unity among Christians/church leaders and churches denominational
barriers coming down.
·
Pray for abolition or repeal of the blasphemy laws, pray for the Christian
brothers and sister who are in prison, facing trails falsely accused under this
law. Pray for safety and security of brothers and sister who live under
consistent threat of being persecuted under this law especially in Punjab.
·
Pray that the government will take sincere measures to change this law.
·
Pray for sustainability of 24/7 and other prayer watches that are going on,
pray that the Pakistani church will understand the power of cooperate prayers
and churches will move into a culture of prayer.

Pray for a spiritual awakening of the church on a national level so that
the gospel can spread across the country.
·
Pray for different types of shortages that are occurring in Pakistan: Water,
electricity, natural gas, food commodities like, cooking oil, sugar etc. Pray
that the government will take sincere measures to resolve these issues which
are making the everyday life of a common man miserable.
·
Pray that the rising extremism and radicalization will be curbed, pray that the
strong holds of terrorism in the country will be destroyed.
·
The Pakistani church will be specially focusing prayer against corruption in
all spheres of life, the church will be praying for the strong holds to be
taken down. Government and judiciary to bring their own house in order, and to
take extreme measures against this evil.
